GT World Challenge Europe: a challenging opening race in Misano

A highly competitive first race of the weekend took place this Saturday in Misano for the GT World Challenge Europe. Starting from the middle of the grid, both of our crews knew they would face a tough challenge on a circuit where overtaking opportunities are limited.

Despite the circumstances, all four drivers delivered a determined performance, fighting until the chequered flag and pushing to make progress through the field.

Driving the #2 Porsche, Schuring and Boccolacci finished the opening race in 27th position after a difficult battle in the middle of the pack. Meanwhile, behind the wheel of the #10 Porsche, Magnus and Knutsson crossed the finish line in 17th overall, securing 4th place in the Gold Cup and narrowly missing out on a category podium finish.

Beyond the final results, several positives can be taken from the race, starting with the outstanding work carried out in the pit lane. Thanks to fast and perfectly executed stops, our mechanics ranked among the Top 3 pit crews across the entire field, proving once again that every second gained can make a difference in a race.

The focus now turns to refining the details and understanding the areas where we can improve for the rest of the weekend. The team is already fully committed to making the final adjustments and approaching the second race with the ambition of turning this hard work into a stronger result.

The next challenge awaits tomorrow, with the goal of continuing to push forward and delivering a performance that reflects the true potential of the team.

Qualifying starts at 10:05, with Race 2 at 14:30.
