GTWC MISANO – WEEKEND WRAP-UP FOR OUR TEAM

A rather mixed outcome for our team at Misano during the second Sprint round of the GT World Challenge.

Despite extensive preparation and hard work on both of our Porsche entries, we were unfortunately unable to fully unlock their potential around the Misano circuit. Two very challenging qualifying sessions forced both of our crews; Dorian Boccolacci and Morris Schuring in the #2 Porsche, along with Robin Knutsson and Gilles Magnus in the #10 Porsche, to start from the middle of the pack. Far from ideal conditions, making any comeback a real challenge.

For the second qualifying race, the #2 Porsche lined up 28th on the grid, while the Gold Cup #10 started 8th in class and 31st overall. Despite the difficult starting positions, both crews managed to gain more than ten places each, crossing the finish line in 18th and 19th overall respectively, with the #10 securing 6th place in the Gold Cup. A race filled with overtakes that also saw both cars finish as the highest-placed Porsche entries in the field.

The potential is clearly there, and we’re determined to make the most of it at the next Sprint round. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long, as we’ll be back in action in just 10 days at Magny-Cours. We hope to see many of you there, thank you all for your continued support!
