BOUTSEN VDS

BOUTSEN VDS is the result of a collaboration initiated at the end of 2022 between two major players in Belgian motorsport: Boutsen Racing and Marc VDS. This partnership allows them to unite their strengths to experience exciting races.

Founded in 1999, Boutsen Racing, based in Wavre, Belgium, is a racing team led by Olivier Lainé and Olivia Boutsen, the sister of Formula 1 driver, Thierry Boutsen. Since its inception, the team has won 15 Championship titles and 8 Vice-Champion titles in single-seaters, prototypes, touring, or GT.

Marc van der Straten is a motorsport enthusiast, known for, among other achievements, winning the 24H of Spa in 2015 with the “Marc VDS Racing team.” Everyone also remembers the Vertigo, the Ford GT40, the Ford Mustang, or the Aston Martin prototype that participated in the 24H of Le Mans in 2011 in VDS colors. The Elf Marc VDS Racing team is also on the Moto GP scene, having won 3 world championship titles in Moto2. Since 2024, the team has also been participating in the SuperBike championship.

The partnership with the Lainé-Boutsen family allows Marc VDS to reconnect with GT racing and revives the Feline logo on the racing circuits.

For Boutsen Racing, this collaboration is a long-term project with great ambitions.

The BOUTSEN VDS team participates in the prestigious Fanatec GT World Challenge and the elegant Lamborghini Super Trofeo championship.
