GTWC – A Tribute to Marc VDS: Special Livery for Misano

Some liveries are more than just a paint scheme. They tell a story, represent a legacy, and remind us of the people who have shaped our journey.

For this GT World Challenge Sprint round at Misano, our Porsche 911 GT3 R will carry a very special livery. With it, we want to pay tribute to a man who meant so much to all of us: Marc van der Straten.

To honour his memory, we have brought back one of the most iconic liveries in Marc VDS Racing history: that of the famous Ford GT40 Mk1. Colours that became synonymous with the team’s identity have now been reinterpreted on our Porsche 911 GT3 R.

By carrying this livery, we are bringing a part of Marc’s story back to the track at Misano. More than a tribute to the past, it is our way of keeping his spirit alive and celebrating the values he passed on to us: passion, commitment, excellence, and the relentless pursuit of competition.

The first laps have already been completed, with Dorian Boccolacci and Morris Schuring at the wheel of the #2 Porsche, marking the beginning of this heartfelt tribute. We hope to make Marc proud by giving everything we have this weekend and fighting for a well-deserved place on the podium.
