Thank you for everything, Marc
The CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa was to be his final journey.
It is with immense sadness that everyone at Boutsen VDS announces the passing of our boss, Marc VDS.
A visionary, passionate and deeply caring man, Marc was an iconic figure in both motorsport and motorcycle racing. A bold entrepreneur, a true competitor at heart and a lifelong racing enthusiast, he dedicated much of his life to helping the sports he loved grow and thrive. Through his commitment, high standards and unwavering trust in the people around him, he brought countless projects to life and inspired those who worked alongside him.
To our team, Marc was far more than an owner or a team principal. He was simply “the Boss” – a nickname that reflected not only the respect he commanded, but also the affection everyone had for him. Behind his ambition and determination was a generous, approachable man who genuinely cared about the people who made his vision possible. He believed in his team, encouraged each of us to give our very best and shared with us a sincere passion for competition.
His unwavering support, infectious enthusiasm and vision will continue to guide Boutsen VDS. The legacy he leaves behind goes far beyond results on the track. It lives on through the relationships he built, the values he shared and the memories he created with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Today, the worlds of motorsport and motorcycle racing have lost one of their greatest enthusiasts. We have lost an exceptional and inspiring man, but above all, someone who meant so much to each and every one of us. His absence will leave an immense void, both in the paddock and within our great family of Wildcats.
Rest in peace, Marc.
You will be deeply missed.
“The past few seasons spent by your side, and especially these last CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, will remain with me forever. Thank you, Marc.”
