GT WORLD CHALLENGE – First day at the Nürburgring!
The Nürburgring weekend is officially underway! Today, we took to the track for the fourth Endurance round of our GT World Challenge Europe season.
The programme featured a first two-hour session dedicated to testing and setup work. The objective was clear: make the most of every lap to test different configurations, fine-tune the behaviour of our two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs and prepare as well as possible for the rest of the weekend.
At the end of the session, our #10, driven by Gilles Magnus, Robin Knutsson and Nico Menzel, finished P1 in the Gold category and P3 overall, while our #2 Pro car, with Alessio Picariello, Dorian Boccolacci and Morris Schuring behind the wheel, ended the session in P44.
Despite a few issues on track with our #2 Porsche, including changing weather conditions and a small technical issue with one of the tyres that unfortunately was punctured, it was still an important first day to get back up to speed. With plenty of laps completed, we were able to collect valuable data ahead of the next sessions.
We’ll be back on track on Saturday for two Free Practice sessions, with FP1 at 10:50 and FP2 at 16:15.
Then, on Sunday, it’s time for the real action! Qualifying will get underway from 09:45, before the three-hour race kicks off at 15:00.
The weekend is only just beginning!
