CROWDSTRIKE 24 HOURS OF SPA – Gold podium and Pro top 10!
The CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa are now behind us, and what a race it was! From the very first laps, both of our crews were thrown into the intensity of this legendary endurance event. Alessio Picariello, Dorian Boccolacci and Morris Schuring, at the wheel of the #2 Porsche 911 GT3 R, alongside Gilles Magnus, Alessandro Ghiretti and Robin Knutsson in the Gold Cup-entered #10 car, proudly represented the team throughout the full 24 hours.
Driving the #2, Alessio, Dorian and Morris delivered an outstanding performance. Constantly fighting at the front, they remained in contention for the overall podium for much of the race. Unfortunately, the twists and turns that make the 24 Hours of Spa so iconic, along with a number of race incidents, ultimately prevented them from achieving the result they deserved. Nevertheless, the crew crossed the finish line in a strong 8th overall, a result that leaves a slight sense of unfinished business given the pace they showed throughout the weekend, while also highlighting the tremendous work accomplished by the entire team.
On the #10 side, competing in the Gold Cup, there was every reason to celebrate. Thanks to a well-executed and consistent race, Gilles Magnus, Alessandro Ghiretti and Robin Knutsson secured an excellent second place in the Gold Cup, rewarding a weekend of hard work and determination. It was fantastic to finally see this crew step onto the podium after suffering so much bad luck in the previous rounds! Their performance confirms the talent and potential they have consistently demonstrated, and now the objective is clear: to fight for victories in the upcoming races. We know they have everything it takes.
Like any great endurance race, these 24 hours were far from straightforward. Incidents, Full Course Yellows and Safety Car periods constantly reshaped the race, forcing the team to adapt at every stage. Throughout the event, our mechanics and engineers did an outstanding job, reacting calmly to every situation, executing flawless pit stops and giving our drivers the best possible tools to stay in the fight. A huge thank you to every member of the team for their incredible commitment and dedication.
These CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa mark another important milestone for the team. While the #2’s final result does not fully reflect the level of performance displayed throughout the event, it confirms our ability to compete at the very front of one of the world’s toughest GT races. As for the #10’s Gold Cup podium, it is a well-deserved reward for the collective efforts of the entire team and provides great momentum heading into the remainder of the season.
