GTWC – A Promising Friday in Zandvoort

The GT World Challenge Europe weekend got underway on Friday at the Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands. For the eighth round of the season and the fourth Sprint Cup event, our two Porsche 911 GT3 R took to the track for the first two free practice sessions.

Competing in the Pro Cup, the #2 Porsche of Morris Schuring and Dorian Boccolacci had a quieter start to the day, finishing FP1 in P18. The crew then made a strong step forward in FP2, setting the fastest time of the session to finish the day in P1. A promising result that we hope to replicate in Saturday morning’s qualifying session.

In the Gold Cup, the #10 Porsche of Robin Knutsson and Gilles Magnus showed consistent and competitive pace throughout the day. They finished FP1 in P15 overall and P2 in the Gold Cup, before maintaining their second place in class in FP2 while climbing to P8 overall.

An encouraging first day for the team, with the #2 making a significant step forward between the two sessions and the #10 securing two class podium finishes. A positive start to the weekend as we head into Saturday, with qualifying and the first Sprint race up next.
