brands hatch : end of an intense weekend – p2 for our pro car !
End of the first Sprint round of the GT World Challenge!
A weekend of mixed fortunes for our crews, but with a real highlight to take away from the first Sprint race. Our Porsche #2, driven by Morris Schuring and Dorian Boccolacci, secured an excellent P2 🥈! A result that means even more given the difficult situation on the other side of the garage.
Indeed, the #10, with Robin Knutsson and Gilles Magnus sharing driving duties, was involved in an incident on the very first lap of the race. It was pushed into the barriers by a competitor. With the damage too significant and another session scheduled later that same afternoon, our GOLD entry was forced to retire from both races.
In Race 2, the #2 once again showed very strong pace, but ultimately finished P12 following a penalty that dropped it down the order. A frustrating result that doesn’t fully reflect the performance shown on track.
Racing can be cruel at times, but it also highlights the team’s strength and resilience. We take the positives from this opening weekend, especially with a podium finish to start the season, and we’ll use that momentum to bounce back and prepare our #10 so it can shine as well!
Next up in a few weeks are the official tests for the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. A great opportunity to get our #10 back on track and fine-tune the setup of our #2 ahead of this iconic home race. Then, Monza on May 30–31 for the second Endurance round.
