GTWC ENDURANCE – Monza results
The weekend at Monza started on a promising note. Strong results in practice and pre-qualifying sessions set the tone, and the #9 Mercedes AMG GT3, competing in the PRO category, secured a solid P7 in qualifying, a great position to fight at the front.
Unfortunately, the race didn’t go as planned.
Just moments after the green flag, the car #9 was caught in a first-lap incident. With an incredibly packed grid, avoiding such chaos was nearly impossible. The car was forced to retire immediately, a disappointing end to what could’ve been a strong showing.
On the other hand, our #10 Mercedes in the Silver category had a different story. Despite receiving a 10-place grid penalty post-qualifying, the crew delivered a solid performance, fighting back through the field to finish P7 in Silver and P26 overall. A commendable effort from the drivers and the team under tough circumstances.
We choose to stay focused on the positives and channel our energy into the next big challenge: the 24 Hours of Spa for our home race! The intensity, the fans, the prestige… we’re ready.
